Yesterday, three matches were played in ClanBase NationsCup XI. It was the first matches for all the teams, and therefore everyone chased a good start in the group stage.
Belgium met Bosnia-Herzegovina at inferno and it was not at all a close match. The favourites from Belgium showed supreme play and secured a Belgian win with ease. Bosnia-Herzegovina was beaten with the ciffers 22-8 and because of the outcome, Belgium claimed the 1st place in Group 3 in front of Sweden.
In Group 2, Romania faced Switzerland at inferno. It was clear to everyone that Switzerland was really trying to keep the Romanian players out as CT - but mostly, their tries turned out to be unsuccessful. Romania won their T-side with 10-5. As CT, they kept their positions very solid and closed the match with 16-8. With all the rounds played, the final score was 18-12.
Czech Republic made it to the group stage after a controversial win against Portugal, and in their first match they met Bulgaria. The match turned out to be a real thriller, deciding the winner in the very last round. At inferno, Bulgaria started out winning 8-7 as T. Switching sides, the two teams still followed each other round for round. It looked like the match would go to overtime at the score 7-7 but Bulgaria kept their hands and aim steady, taking the final round and winning the match with 16-14.
